Following a driving under the influence arrest in Hayward, California, an motorist’s first priority should be to consult with a knowledgeable and experienced DUI attorney. The Law Office of Robert Tayac is a highly specialized DUI defense firm with years of experience successfully representing motorists accused of driving under the influence (DUI) or driving with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) at or above California’s legal limit of 0.08% in Alameda County’s Superior Courts. With an understanding of DUI law unmatched by rival firms, the Law Office of Robert Tayac is aptly prepared to handle every aspect of your Hayward DUI case.

While driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is one of the more commonly charged crimes in California, the specialization of knowledge necessary to successfully defend a DUI case is something many general practice criminal defense attorneys do not possess.

The extremely complex nature of a driving under the influence case requires a DUI lawyer to exhibit expertise on a variety of topics including: human physiology, chemistry, breath-alcohol testing, blood-alcohol testing, direct and cross-examination of expert witnesses, and strict law enforcement procedures for probable cause, preliminary screening, and chemical testing.

Every DUI lawyer employed by the Law Office of Robert Tayac has received specialized training specifically targeted to the successful defense of DUI related charges. This office is dedicated to providing the highest quality of legal representation possible, and therefore, you can be sure that your Hayward DUI case will be given the utmost attention from start to finish.

In addition to the DUI criminal case initiated in the Alameda County Superior Court, a Hayward DUI arrest also initiates a second administrative case which is reviewed by the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). During this hearing, an employee of the Department of Motor Vehicles’ Driver Safety Office is tasked with the effort of determining the status of a motorist’s California driving privileges.

In order to contest the possible suspension of an individual’s driver license, a request must be made for an Administrative Per Se (APS) hearing within ten (10) days of the Hayward DUI arrest. In the event that the hearing is not scheduled within the allotted time, the individual’s license is automatically suspended for 4 months. This suspension is imposed 30 days after the date of the driving under the influence arrest. With your California driving privileges at stake, it is imperative to consult with a qualified DUI defense lawyer immediately.

The Law Office of Robert Tayac has been helping clients accused of driving under the influence for nearly a decade. The office’s positive reputation, practical experience, winning track record, and unparalleled knowledge of DUI law have helped to make the Law Office of Robert Tayac the Bay Area’s premier DUI defense firm. Hayward, Alameda County General Information

Hayward is a city located in the East Bay in Alameda County. The sixth largest city in the San Francisco Bay Area, it is one of the larger suburbs of Oakland. The former suburbs of Mt. Eden and Schafer Park have been incorporated into Hayward.

Bay Area DUIHayward, originally known as "Haywards", is named for William Hayward, a worker from a New England shoe factory who came to California in 1849 during the California Gold Rush. After spending several frustrating years in the gold fields, Hayward returned to the Bay area. He squatted on Guillermo Castro's ranch near Palomares Canyon for a while until Castro invited him to his home to discuss his trespassing. Hayward soon bought 40 acres of Castro's land close to Castro's home, at present day A and Main Streets, which he used to establish a store and post office. He petitioned the US Postal Service to name the post office Hayward's, but because an office cannot be named after a living person, the name was changed to Haywood.

Hayward is home to the main campus of California State University, East Bay, formerly known as California State University, Hayward. California State University, East Bay is a public university within the California State University system.
